Atari ST Progate 170DC External SCSI 170Mb Hard Drive

Here we have an Progate 170DC External SCSI hard drive used with an Atari 520ST. The unit powers on, and the hard drive spins up but beyond that I can not test it as I do not have anything which would run the SCSI drive. Switchable SCSI address on the reverse.

Takes a standard mains cable with an old style SCSI cable - supplied with a to Parallel to Centronics cable. The unit is fitted with a Quantum ProDrive ELS 170Mb hard drive, and there is space to install a second in the housing if so desired. I have no idea what software or data is stored on this.

It did come in with a vast amount of Atari software, so it is possible that this is stored on there, I just don't know. Then again, it could be blank! Cosmetically, all is in good condition for its age - there is some damage to the finish on the top of the housing, I assume where perhaps a monitor has stood on it, but otherwise it is as new. Alternatively, collection is welcomed from Eklektika - Swanage's Antiques Centre - at 2 Institute Road, Swanage, Dorset BH19 1BX.
