CMD HD-40 Commodore 64 128 C64 Tested & Working SCSI 2 SD Hard Drive Geos HD-20

It's in really nice looking condition. Tested and working (see all pictures). This unit comes with original users manual (with CMD binder) in great shape (see pictures), CMD hard drive power supply and parallel transfer cable for use with a CMD RAMLink (RAM Link not included). If you need a normal Commodore serial cable, let me know and I'll add one for free in the box. Also included are the original CMD floppy disks'HD Utilities, CP/M Utilities, GEOS Utilites and Q-Link System'. All disks tested and working (both sides). Unit has the original 4 rubber feet on the bottom. My unit's original SCSI hard drive died years ago, however it's been upgraded with a SCSI to SD adapter and includes a SD card ready to go with the HD Utilites disk in partition 1. I also upgraded the CMD HD DOS ROM IC so it could support up to 4GB drives. JiffyDOS is also supported on this CMD Hard Drive.

CMD Hard Drive is currently set to device #12 which is the default. You can change that easy (see manual for details). These items come from my personal adult owned and smoke free collection. Monitor and computer shown are not included and only used to show CMD hard drive working.

Here's a little information taken from Wikipedia about the CMD Hard Drive: Much like the Commodore 1541 floppy drive, the CMD HD could connect to the Commodore 64's serial bus, and could operate independently of the computer with the help of its on-board hardware. A CMD HD series drive included its own SCSI controller to operate its hard drive mechanism, in addition to hosting a battery powered real-time clock module for the time-stamping of files. The stock operating speeds of the CMD HD-Series units were not very much faster than the stock speeds of a 1541 floppy drive, but the units were fully JiffyDOS compatible. Faster parallel transfers were possible with the addition of another CMD product, the CMD RAMLink and a special parallel transfer cable.
