External SCSI Case enclosure set hard disk drive CD RAID lot
This listing is for an external SCSI Raid system. This system consists of a base drive(power) and add on drives. The add on drives are empty. This is where you would mount your SCSI device.
No drives are included, just enclosures. This system is the equivalent of, one lot of empty SCSI enclosures. The main benefit to this system is that power and the SCSI signal is carried between the 50 pin connectors on the top and bottom(shown in pics). There is no need for SCSI cables between each drive and only one power outlet needs to be used. Just install the device in the drive, then stack it on the top so that the 50 pin connector is attached. The base(power) drive is rated to power up to 7 device drives(standard SCSI 1). This is the only drive in the system with any connection capability on the back of the drive. It is terminated with (2) 50 pin Centronics connectors and one standard 3 prong power connector. This power drive will also accept 110-220v, So , Yes it will work over seas. You will need a wall outlet from your region as I only have American plugs. Each device drive enclosure comes with three different cover plates: Hard drive, half height and one full height plate(shown in pic).This will enable you to install any 3.5 device in this case. Although the picture shows 3.5 inch enclosures, I do have 5.25 enclosures for this system as well. It comes with a hard drive plate and full height opening front plate.
